Free Lunch

Free Lunch #64

Hello there you emo omelets! Today is Tuesday, which means it’s time for another Free Lunch! If you don’t know what a Free Lunch is, I basically just type for five minutes on either my laptop or phone. I have plenty to talk about today, so I should be able to actually type the whole time. I’m starting at 8:20.

I started off today with a tour of my soon-to-be high school, Hume Fogg Academy! The impression it left on me was that high school is going to be really fun. A lot of the teachers were talking about how difficult the increased workload would be, but I think I’m going to be fine in that corner. We peeped in on the Band class during one of their rehearsals, and they sound awesome! It’s kind of inspired me to try to become amazing at Trumpet over the summer, which was already on my ‘maybe’ list of summer activities.

Fast forward a few hours, and I’m in Physical Science watching the SpaceX Falcon Heavy test flight. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, I’ll put a link to the liftoff here. I got to watch the rocket launch on a live stream, and it was super cool. My teacher was jumping up and down in excitement when it made it into the air. It was pretty great, maybe I can be an Astronaut Trumpet player?

At the end of the school day, we had a Pep Rally. Most of my friends and I got to play in the Pep Band for it. It was pretty exhilarating to play in front of almost 500 people.

I’m all out of time for today, thanks for reading all the way down to the bottom of this post! I hope all of you are having a great day, and if you aren’t, you can still change that now!

Free Lunch #63 (7×9 edition!)

Hello there you computational contact forms. Today is Tuesday, which means it’s time for another Free Lunch. If you don’t know what Free Lunch is, I just get on either my laptop or phone and try to write legibly for five minutes without stopping. I’m writing on my phone today, so this will probably be on the shorter side.

Starting at 9:19.

A lot has happened since last Free Lunch, but luckily, you have me to catch you up on my recent life! I have my confirmational job interview on Friday at 6:30, and I will most likely get the job (unless for some reason I don’t pass the drug test, which is impossible). If I do, I will be making from anywhere between $2,500 to $6,500 a year, not counting taxes or Social Security. That’s still a lot of money! I think I’m going to save about half of my monthly paycheck, and spend the half on stuff like musical instruments and video games. I’m really excited to be starting my first job!

In other news, the band got a name change! Cubix Rubes, your boring reign is over, pave the way for Coocoloris! I got Coocoloris as a reCAPTCHA the other day, and I wrote it down because I thought it was a good name for something. You can check out our Soundcloud page here! Thanks in advance for checking out my music!

I’m out of time for today, so thanks for reading all the way down to the bottom of this post!

Have a good day/night/life!

Free Lunch #62

Hello there you chilling cartridges! If you don’t know what a Free Lunch is, I just get on either my laptop or phone and type for five minutes without stopping. It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted, and regardless of how much has happened since then, in usual fashion I’m still probably run out of things to say.

Starting at 7:45.

Today I had my first job interview, and I think I have a good chance of getting the job. I’m trying out for the supermarket that my step-dad works for, so unless I royally screw up on the first day, I’ll probably be able to adapt and integrate it into my lifestyle. I’ll be working on Bagging, so I need to practice my social skills a bit before I start, as I am expected to interact with every customer near me.

In musical news, I really haven’t done much composing recently. I’m learning Great Fairy Fountain on Guitar, and practicing Megalovania for Trumpet (as usual), but I seem to have left the Piano behind. I’m going to try to start playing it again every day, because the reason I’m not playing as much is less of me not wanting to, and more of me forgetting about it. I’ve screwed around with some lyrics as well, but I haven’t really found anything that strikes a chord with me (PUN INTENDED) recently. Wouldn’t it be a disappointing career if I released one emo song and then never wrote again? I think it would be, so I’m making an effort to try and write something every day, even if it’s short or bad. If I don’t practice writing, I’ll never improve.

I’m out of time for today, so thanks for reading all the way down to the bottom of this post! I’m going to attempt posting regularly again, I’m really sorry about Throwback Week not happening on time. Consider it rescheduled, for a surprise date!

Best Way to Waste Time!

Hello there you laughing ladles. I don’t really have any fantastic ideas for today’s post, so you’ll get this instead, the best way to waste time!

THE BEST WAY TO WASTE YOUR TIME:

.

.

.

.

Literally the entire internet.

I find that whenever I have access to the internet I tend to spend less time doing productive things and more time on stuff that keeps me momentarily distracted from my responsibilities. Looking at all of my internet usage, it’s always just an escape from reality where I have to actually do stuff.

The website that takes the cake as most distracting by a lot is Quora. I don’t go on there often, maybe one a week or so, but when I do, I just get stuck reading stories and I can never tear myself away from the site. I spend more time on Quora than any other site because while I don’t visit the site very frequently, when I do I read it for about an hour everytime.

However, I don’t think that all of the internet is terrible and detrimental to everyone’s lives. If you use the internet wisely you can use it to learn how to do almost anything for free.

I don’t really understand why I made this post, it’s kind of boring and short, but at least it’s a post.

Thanks for reading.

Free Lunch #50

We did it. Fifty. That’s a total of 250 minutes I will have spent typing these Free Lunches. Let’s take it from 245 to 250 now!

(Also sorry it’s coming out late I will explain in the Free Lunch)

Starting at 10:20.

The reason that this post is going to be out late-ish tonight is because:

1. I was at a party and didn’t have time to do number 2 because I wasn’t home.

2. I was making this!

(I know it’s not as good as the Blade Runner 2049 one)

I hope you like it, i’m really happy that i’ve gotten the series this far! I don’t really have any special announcements for this occasion, but be excited anyways! Whenever you feel down just remember that you actually have five senses! Look away from the screen for a second and go and smell some food and taste it and notice the details of everything around you. This always helps me.

Tomorrow’s Top Shelf Book Review won’t be out as late as this post is, I can assure you of that. The post will be a review of Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements. I hope you guys like it!

In other news, the piano song that I decided to release will probably be out Sunday. I’m not sure what to name it so i’ll let you guys decide like the mantis shrimp one.

My times up on this very special Free Lunch! To 100!

I’m going to go ahead and make a promise that Free Lunch #100 will be ten minutes long!

Thanks for reading everybody, have a good one.

Free Lunch #48 (more more edition)

Hello there you awesome smelling pizzahaired chaps! (Hello there you submitted by faraztunezhaidr.) It’s Friday which means it’s time for another Free Lunch! If you don’t know what that means, I just type for 5 minutes on either my phone or laptop. This time it’s my phone, so this will be pretty short.

Starting at 10:31.

Not much has happened since Wednesday. Luckily I managed to finish all of the school work that was due on Thursday, and as of now, all of my grades are a-ok. I haven’t been working much on composing lately, but I hope to turn that around soon. Tomorrow i’m going downtown with my family and we’re going to eat pizza and walk around. On Sunday i’m going to my friend’s second birthday party. The first was last week, and we went a bunch of cool places (bowling, arcade, escape room). This time we’re just going to go to his house and eat cake and play video games probably.

Also, the next Undertale Free Lunch will be out within the next few weeks. Probably. If it isn’t then remind me if you actually want it.

I also want to take a moment to address all the inactive authors. I don’t know if anyone but me is ever going to post again. Jamie says he has nothing to say. No word from Maz or Jordan, and Victoria is still doing her treatment I think. I’m not sure if this is going to change anytime soon.

That’s the end of this Free Lunch.

Thanks for reading it.

Dramatized Story

Hello there you drama llamas.

I walked into class, completely unprepared for the horrors that would befall me that day. While taking my regular seat, I was hit with a tidal wave of fear that was probably trying to warn me of the future. The door slammed against the wall, and in walked Iverson wearing a leather jacket, with brass knuckles and a brand new skull tattoo on his arm. While flexing, he picked up the teacher and threw him out the nearest window, with the teacher’s shrieks echoing through the school. I quickly crouched down under a table along with my classmates, and his eyes narrowed, searching for a target. He quickly singled me out and sauntered over to where I was trying to hide. He pulled out his blue mechanical pencil, used previously to slaughter my best friend, and stabbed me once in the arm. While I was pinned to the ground, my blood gushed out and my vision blurred to a red haze. He pulled the mechanical pencil out and the blood stream seemed to amplify. He then stabbed me once more in the finger and I lost consciousness.

What really happened though, was we got into class normally and sat down. I then picked up his mechanical pencil on the bottom end by the lead. He grabbed the other end and started banging the pencil on the table. My finger slipped under the lead and he stabbed me before I noticed I had been stabbed. We only noticed after he stopped and I saw that blood was coming out of my pinkie. We went to the bathroom and put a wet paper towel around it, then to the office to get a bandaid. Later we discovered that he had actually gotten me twice before I noticed.

Everything turned out alright though!

Thanks for reading, don’t have time for a Dictionary Taboo!

Free Lunch #40

Hello there you beautiful colorful clouds. It’s pretty late at night for me, but still early enough for this to still be a Free Lunch on time. If you don’t know what Free Lunch is, I just find a device and write for 5 minutes without stopping.

Starting at 9:50.

Today was great because it was ordinary. Other than pizza ordered by our substitute for lunch, everything just proceeded normally. Nothing too bad happened, but I was presented with regular problems. After school I went on a walk to play Pokemon Go, and I was paying attention to the sky, which was very nice today. It looked like there was layers of color in the sky. Red, then orange, then yellow, then fading to blue. Sunsets are nice. I also listened to some good music today, and had an idea for a background on a track I might make in the future. I won’t tell you the idea yet until I figure out how to utilize it in the best type of song. I don’t have much more to say. I did write a little riff on my Guitar today, which will probably make an appearance in one of my songs in the future. I’m also going to try to perfect Another Brick in The Wall Pt. 2 by the Thursday after the next one. On that day I’ll be able to bring my Electric Guitar to school and play on my friend’s amp.

I’m out of time now, and I apologize for this being a short edition. It was written on my phone.

Thanks for reading all the way down to the bottom of this post :z
